The green and gold kangaroo is synonymous with Australia. Backing Australian manufacturing for 40 years, the brand boasts a 99% recognition rate and is trusted by 4 out of 5 Australians. Australian Made is more than a brand, it really is an icon.

And while Australia recognises the logo, over the years what the kangaroo stands for had dropped away. Younger generations had lost touch with why buying Australian Made is important. The reasons for supporting local businesses had fallen away in a world where the world is just a click away. 

Hive strategised, and created a campaign designed to reinvigorate the brand. Our objective: to remind Australia that buying certified Australian Made products means you’re helping Australians. The platform ‘Made Right Here’ was created, reminding Australians that when you buy something made here, that choice is right for jobs, the economy and the Australian way of life. 

We made the bold call to release the kangaroo from the triangle (for the first time ever) and let the logo take us on a journey across Australia makers and manufacturers. We upped the energy across the board, from music to the electric look of the kangaroos.   

It’s a campaign made for today that hasn’t forgotten it’s forty year history.
