Bushrangers Bay is a fun day trip whether you want a chill picnic on the beach, or feel like a nice hike.

 

On the walk in there's a chance to see kangaroos, echidnas, and potentially some snakes sunbaking on the path. Visit during low tide for stunning rock pools, but the main beach is a little too dangerous for swimming. 

 

If you're up for a walk, head along the Bushrangers Bay track that edges the coast towards the Cape Schanck Lighthouse - the views are spectacular.
