It’s no secret solar power helps many Victorian homes keep energy costs down. The processes around getting it installed is a little more mysterious however. Rebates? Costs? Tariffs? And the big one, who can I trust for reliable information? 

Solar Victoria saw an opportunity to remind Victorians of the benefits of solar, and position themselves as a trusted, official source of information. Hive was engaged to create a campaign to promote the transition to solar energy in Victorian homes, and bring clarity to the confusion surrounding energy efficient rebates and offers.

We created a campaign that very simply invites Victorians to ‘Put the Sun to Work’ in their homes. This included designing and building a memorable and engaging campaign mascot to help us illustrate this – the Sun. Its only job is to make life better, cheaper, and more relaxing (and a little fun) for every Victorian. The Sun’s touch is used to ‘activate’ various solar powered appliances throughout the home, and provide clarity on the various ways Solar Victoria can help you save when switching  your home to more energy efficient electricity.

Beaming bright across TV, OOH, social, digital and print, the campaign demonstrates that life really is better when the sun is shining.
